Cupid and Psyche vs. The Frog King The story of Cupid and Psyche is one that tells of how Cupid ended up falling in love with the woman he was supposed to be killing. However, certain events lead to other events and Cupid and Psyche end up getting married, but Psyche never knew what Cupid looked like. For all she knew, he was a hideous monster. Eventually her curiosity got the best of her, and late one night she pulled out an oil lamp and shone it upon her husband. What she found was certainly not a hideous monster, but the most handsome man she had ever seen. For he was actually a god, and the son of Venus. Like this, the story of “The Frog Prince” is one of uncertain love. For the frog helped the young princess but said that for him to help her, she would have to allow him to sleep in her room, feed him, etc. S
